  • Mono-material labelstocksAchievement of mono-materials with PET containers

The key to efficient recycling was to use mono-material for the container and to provide ink removal functionality during the washing process.

  • Plastic-alternative labelstocksA big step toward a sustainable society with PLALESS

A product born from the fusion of water-resistant paper and adhesive technology that meets the demand for plastic-free products

Mono-material Labelstocks

Uses materials with the same properties as PET containers

Mono-material Labelstocks

Making the labelstock's facestock and the adhesive layer from materials that match the adherend to create a mono-material (a single material) improves recyclability.

Features

  • Mono-Material with PET Containers

By using polyester resin for the facestock and adhesive layer, this labelstock achieves mono-materiality with PET containers.

  • Adhesive is High Adhesion Removable Type

This labelstock uses a high adhesion removable type adhesive that can be firmly applied to PET containers, yet it can be cleanly peeled off with minimal glue residue.

  • Ink Can Be Peeled Off by Washing with Hot Alkaline Water

The use of printing coatings that can be deinked by hot alkaline water washing, which is performed in the PET bottle washing process, contributes to improved recyclability.

  • Uses Environmentally Friendly Release Paper

Although polyethylene is not used, the smoothness of the adhesive surface is as good as that of polyethylene laminated release papers.

  • Compliant with Japan's Food Sanitation Act

We use surface coatings, facestocks, and adhesives manufactured with raw materials listed on the Positive List (PL) of the Food Sanitation Act.

  • Acquired Japan's Biomass Mark

We acquired Japan's Biomass Mark for the adhesive layers of our labelstocks. (40% biomass content, certification number: 210377)

What is the Biomass Mark?
This mark is authorized by the Japan Organics Recycling Association.
It is a mark for products that are produced using biomass, which is a renewable organic resource derived from living organisms, and that meet requirements for quality, standards, and specifications.

What is the Japan Partnership for Circular Economy (J4CE)?
As the global trend toward a circular economy accelerates, the objective of this organization is to strengthen public-private partnerships with the aim of fostering further understanding of the circular economy among a wide range of stakeholders, including domestic companies, and promoting their efforts.
