  • Mono-material labelstocksAchievement of mono-materials with PET containers

The key to efficient recycling was to use mono-material for the container and to provide ink removal functionality during the washing process.

  • Plastic-alternative labelstocksA big step toward a sustainable society with PLALESS

A product born from the fusion of water-resistant paper and adhesive technology that meets the demand for plastic-free products

Environmentally friendly labelstocks

Environmentally friendly labelstocks

These environmentally friendly labelstocks meet a wide range of needs, including to reuse, recycle, and reduce, which are increasing as environmental awareness has grown in recent years. We offer a wide range of labelstocks that contribute to a sustainable society, including plastic-alternative labelstocks, labelstocks made from plant-derived raw materials, and labelstocks that can be easily removed during the washing process after container collection.

Recycle

Mono-material labelstocks

Contributes to improving recyclability
Mono-material labelstocks

These labelstocks use a high adhesion removable type adhesive that can be firmly applied to containers made of PET, but can be cleanly removed leaving minimal adhesive residue when the time comes.

Utilization of recycled materials

Utilization of recycled materials
Recycled PET labelstocks

Mechanically recycled PET film made from used PET bottles is used as raw material for the facestock.
Products with PET bottle recycling recommendation mark indicating certification by Japan's Council for PET Bottle Recycling.

Made from same materials

Made from same materials
KEE/KEP Series: Same-material labelstocks

Same materials as plastic molded parts (PE and PP) used in daily commodity containers.

KES/KEA Series: Same-material labelstocks

KES/KEA Series: Same-material labelstocks

These are the same materials as the molded plastic (PS/ABS) used in the casings of office automation equipment and consumer electronics, which contributes to efforts to recycle components.

Plastic-alternative materials

Removable labelstocks

Removable labelstocks

These labelstocks can be firmly applied to containers, etc., and after use they can be removed cleanly with little adhesive residue.
Ideal for reuse and recycling of containers, etc.

Returnable labelstocks

Returnable labelstocks

This labelstock is firmly applied for use and can be easily removed during the washing process, making it the ideal labelstock for glass bottles and other containers that are collected and reused by businesses.

Labelstocks for plastic containers

Labelstocks for plastic containers

This labelstock is firmly applied during the shipping process and can be easily removed after use by washing with warm water, contributing to ease of reuse.

Adhesive Papers and Films for PrintingPromoting the Recycling of Consumer Electronics

In October 2009, Japan's Association for Electric Home Appliances released
"Guidelines for Labeling and Recycling Marks for Plastic and Other Components of Home Appliances".

This is intended to promote recycling and reuse of products and improve workability in the recycling process
by recommending that labels attached to consumer electronics also indicate the material of the labelstock.

We have an extensive lineup of labels made of the same materials as the target adherend, as well as removable labels, etc., to suit each application.

How the label materials are indicated

Example: When polyester film is used >PET< When indicating the material on the label, the indication method differs depending on the material used.

Cautions on material labeling

1. When synthetic paper is used

There are many different types of synthetic paper, but our YUPO labelstocks are ">PP<".

2. When over-laminate film is used

If the over-laminate film is made of a different material than the labelstock, both materials are indicated, such as ">PP, PET<". Also, the main materials are underlined.

  • *If different materials are used for the labelstock and over-laminate film, it may cause the label to lift, etc. Therefore, the use of the same material is recommended.

3. When paper facestocks are used

When using labels with paper materials such as woodfree paper, coated paper, or coated paper with gloss, "-paper-", "-p-", or "-紙-" ("paper" in Japanese) is indicated.

For the material indications of each product, please refer to product search.

A strong ally for efforts to reuse and recycle

Effective use of resources is required in various industries, and inability to remove labels from products hinders the reuse and recycling of resources.

KES/KEA series (type made from same material as molded plastic items)

Using a facestock made from the same material (polystyrene film and ABS film) as the plastic molded parts used in the housing of electrical appliances such as copy machines and air conditioners allows the material to be recycled directly with the label still applied to it. Also, these products are UL969 certified. They can be used for general labels of electric products products.
